Man arrested for robbing victims after offering rides in Dubai

Police have arrested a man who robbed people by first luring them into his car by offering them a cheaper ride than a taxi.

Dubai: Police have arrested a man who robbed people by first luring them into his car by offering them a cheaper ride than a taxi.

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) had received a number of complaints of robbery committed by a man of African origin.

The CID formed teams to nab the suspect. The teams got a tip-off that an African identified as D.W. was involved in the crime.

The suspect used to drive the victims to a service road and then attack and rob them.
