- Dubai Courts. According to the charge sheet, prosecutors said D.M. flashed his middle finger in public at two Emirati policemen while driving his car towards the Business Bay Bridge.
Dubai: A random meeting at a nightclub in Dubai and a subsequent complaint of theft has landed a visitor and three women in court.
The Pakistani visitor, R.J., 53, was said to have accompanied three Ethiopian women to their apartment when they promised him a "nice, relaxing massage". Prosecution records claim one of the girls, M.T., 24, took off his clothes to get him ready for the massage. Meanwhile, the other two women, S.W., 23, and T.B., 27, tried to steal his personal belongings and cash.
Prosecutors accused R.J. and M.T. of encouragement to commit a sin and staying together in a secluded place although they were not related to each other. S.W. and T.B. were charged with attempting to steal R.J.'s money and belongings.
Defendant's version
"Sir, I did not commit any sin. I met the girls and I was told that I could have a nice, relaxing massage in their flat. So, I went, but not for sex… I just went there for massage. I swear your honour. I did take off my shirt in front of the women but for her to massage my back, chest and shoulders," R.J. argued before the Dubai Misdemeanour Court yesterday.
His lawyer asked the judge to acquit his client. Meanwhile, the Ethiopian girls also pleaded not guilty.
Police records said the Pakistani met the girls at a pub in Al Muraqqabat. He accompanied them to their flat. When he took off his clothes, he spotted the girls trying to steal money and credit cards from his wallet.
Once R.J. reported the incident to the police, all the suspects were arrested and taken for questioning.
Prosecutors said R.J. took off his shirt, slept on the bed, and allowed M.T. to massage him although they were not related to each other. The girls were additionally charged with working as prostitutes.
A verdict will be pronounced soon.
