Fujairah: An Indian labourer is thought to have committed suicide on Saturday, after he was found dangling from a rope in Habab, a small town in Fujairah.

The labourer was found by his colleagues as they reported to work at 6am at an under construction factory site.

Colleagues told police the deceased was last seen as he left the on-site housing complex at midnight and was not seen until he was found dead six hours later.

Lieutenant General Mohammad Ahmad Bin Ghanim, General Director of Fujairah Police, told reporters that an investigation is under way to determine the facts and possible causes behind the case while the body of the deceased will be kept for a postmortem examination.
