Dubai: Seven schoolboys have been accused raping and molesting a 13-year-old schoolmate on different occasions at their school premises in Jumeirah. Two of the seven Emirati schoolboys, who are aged between 13 and 16, were said to have had non-consensual sex with the boy, also Emirati, behind buses in the school’s parking lot on the same day.

Video of attack on 13-year-old boy shared in school playground
The other five are said to have individually beaten up and physically abused the 13-year-old.
Prosecutors charged two of the defendants with raping their schoolmate, while the other five were charged with molestation.
Records said the alleged incident was discovered when a teacher spotted a group of students surrounding the 13-year-old in the playground.
When the teacher asked one of the students what was happening, he said the group were watching a video recording on a mobile phone showing the incident.
The teacher watched the phone video, which allegedly showed the 13-year-old being sexually molested by two of the defendants.
The teacher informed the boy’s father, who immediately reported the matter to the police.
During primary police interrogation, the teacher said the recording explicitly showed the 13-year-old crying while he was being forced to perform indecent acts with suspects.
The seven defendants are currently being tried before the Dubai Juveniles Court.
The boy said that one day, before the end of school, two defendants stopped him in the parking lot, where they undressed and raped him.
He said he was scared and couldn’t resist one of his alleged rapists because he was bigger.
When the boy was molested, according to his statement, one of the students threatened him with the pocketknife.
The defendants pleaded not guilty. The trial continues.
