Justice is everyone's right, Khalifa says

A new judge was sworn in before President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Al Bateen Palace on Sunday.

Abu Dhabi: A new judge was sworn in before President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Al Bateen Palace on Sunday.

Faydi Al Hassan has been appointed as a judge at the Federal Supreme Court.

Shaikh Khalifa said: "Justice is everyone's right and the law prevails above all considerations." He wished the new judge success in discharging his duty.

Shaikh Khalifa has received a message from Chinese President Hu Jintao, dealing with bilateral relations and ways of boosting them.

The message was delivered to Shaikh Khalifa by Chinese Defence Minister Liang Guanglie at a meeting in Abu Dhabi yesterday.

Shaikh Khalifa welcomed the Chinese official and his accompanying delegation and applauded the growth of relations between both countries.

He said that the two countries were keen on upgrading joint cooperation in all fields, particularly the military and technological fields, citing the economic and technological progress attained by China.

Meanwhile, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received the Chinese minister and discussed with him cooperation between the UAE and China in the fields of military training and exchange of expertise and skills.

Shaikh Mohammad stressed the importance of cementing the foundations of regional and international peace and stability.

The Chinese official expressed his pleasure on visiting the UAE and meeting Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammad, lauding the cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

He affirmed the sincere desire of the political and military leaders in China to further bolster the historic relations of friendship and cooperation with the UAE.

He also lauded the wise policy adopted by the UAE leadership for making progress, prosperity and stability.
