Fishermen detained in Ras Al Khaimah for using banned nets

A group of fishermen, who violated federal fishing laws and used banned nets locally known as 'Alyakh', were detained by the police.

Ras Al Khaimah: A group of fishermen, who violated federal fishing laws and used banned nets locally known as 'Alyakh', were detained by the police.

Captain Jasem Mohammad Eshtairi, who heads the police's rescue and saving section, said fishermen were found guilty of breaking Federal Law No. 23 (1999) and threatened marine life.
