Fujairah: Employees at a stone-crushing site in Sakamkam, Fujairah, escaped injuries as fire engulfed their offices on Tuesday.

The fire had already spread to three caravans used by the company's engineers and management as offices by the time Fujairah Civil Defence teams rushed to the site.

Firefighting teams managed to put out the fire and no injuries were reported, a Civil Defence source said.

The fire completely gutted the office site, damaging, among other things, the company documents and files, electrical equipment and office furniture.

A police investigation is under way to determine the cause of the fire.
