Dubai worker gets jail term for hitting colleague with concrete block
A worker, who hit his colleague in the mouth with a concrete block, will spend one year in jail.
Dubai: A worker, who hit his colleague in the mouth with a concrete block, will spend one year in jail.
The Dubai Court of First Instance found the 27-year-old Bangladeshi worker guilty of assaulting the 38-year-old victim.
He will be deported after serving his punishment.
The victim, M.A., sustained a 12 per cent permanent disability after fracturing his upper jaw and breaking his front teeth in the attack.
Presiding Judge Saeed Salem Bin Sarm also referred the accused M.Y. to the Dubai Court of Misdemeanours where he will be prosecuted for infiltrating into the country.
