Dubai pupil says cleaner harassed him in toilet
A schoolboy has claimed that a cleaner harassed him 14 times in the school's washroom and his ordeal didn't stop until the 15th occasion.
Dubai: A schoolboy has claimed that a cleaner harassed him 14 times in the school's washroom and his ordeal didn't stop until the 15th occasion.
The 10-year-old alleged in his testimony that every time the 27-year-old Bangladeshi cleaner reportedly harassed him when he left the washroom he complained to one of his teachers.
"The cleaner committed indecent behaviour with me... The last time it happened I complained to a supervisor who immediately informed my father," the Emirati schoolboy told the Public Prosecution.
The cleaner, identified as J.M., denied the charges on Monday and pleaded not guilty before the Dubai Court of First Instance.
The Public Prosecution charged J.M. with molesting the boy by repeatedly waiting for him outside the washroom and every time he walked out he would grab him.
The Emirati principal reported the matter to the police who apprehended the suspect. A verdict will be heard soon.
