Dubai: Public Prosecution on Sunday started questioning a British couple allegedly caught for engaging in sexual activities on a beach.
The woman, a British resident of Dubai for the past three years, was caught with her friend on a public beach in Jumeirah on July 5.
A police officer had warned the couple when he found them on the beach. When he returned ten minutes later he found them still there. The policeman tried to arrest them, but the woman allegedly abused him verbally and tried to hit him.
Ports Police Station referred the couple to the Public Prosecution on charges of illicit relations, public indecency and being intoxicated in a public place.
