Dubai: The Dubai Police Traffic Department, in coordination with the Naif Police Station, has seized 384 motorcycles found to be in violation of road safety rules.

The road safety crackdown, which lasts for ten days, aims to promote safety for road users and reduce traffic crashes caused by reckless motorcyclists.

The police targeted unregistered motorbikes and motorbikes that don't carry number plates or licenses.

The Dubai Police also checked bicycle and quad bike riders for unsafe driving on main roads, especially those who drive in opposite direction to the road and on pavements.

The Naif Police Station assigned regular traffic control teams to specific areas where most accidents take place, according to Dubai Police.
