Dubai Police launches new ePay service
Payment of traffic fines and other related transactions can now be done by credit cards using the Dubai Police's new ePay service.
Dubai: Payment of traffic fines and other related transactions can now be done by credit cards using the Dubai Police's new ePay service.
The announcement of this novel service and its official launch was done by Lieutenant General Dahi Kalfan Tamim, Dubai police Chief.
The service has been launched in coordination with Dubai eGovernment and will make it convenient for motorists to walk into any police station and make their payments.
Currently the service is only available at the Department of Traffic, but it is expected to go operational in all police stations in Dubai from next week.
The ePay service supports multiple payment methods including credit cards from Visa, MasterCard and American Express, as well as the Dubai eGovernment prepaid card and credit cards, eDirham and direct debit.
Other government departments where the ePay service has been introduced are Dubai Municipality, Department of Health and Medical Services (DOHMS), Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Airports, Land Department, Dubai Chamber and eTQM.
