Dubai Customs inspectors aborted on Tuesday an attempt to smuggle heroin through Terminal 1 of Dubai International Airport.
Dubai: Dubai Customs inspectors aborted on Tuesday an attempt to smuggle heroin through Terminal 1 of Dubai International Airport.
Customs inspectors inspected a passenger coming from an Asian country as he was behaving suspiciously. Using the intestines detector machine, officials discovered that the passenger had swallowed a large number of capsules.
He admitted to consuming 137 capsules containing heroin and said he received a significant amount of money to transfer these capsules to the UAE.
The seizure is Dubai Customs' latest success in stopping several attempts to smuggle drugs into the country through Dubai International Airport.
