Dubai based karate coach cleared of molestation
The Dubai Court of First Instance acquitted the 28-year-old Indian coach, K.M., who denied the molestation charges and pleaded not guilty last month.
Dubai: A karate coach has been cleared of molesting a five-year-old pupil due to lack of evidence.
The Dubai Court of First Instance acquitted the 28-year-old Indian coach, K.M., who denied the molestation charges and pleaded not guilty last month.
The Public Prosecution charged him with molesting the schoolgirl.
He denied the charge and provided the court with a written waiver, which he had obtained from her parents.
The alleged incident came to light after the girl told her parents that she never wanted to learn karate with her coach because he allegedly molested her.
The girl's 33-year-old father testified before the Public Prosecution: "My wife told me that when she picked our daughter up from the karate school, she requested to stop training because the coach harassed her."
The primary ruling is subject to appeal.
