Dubai: A driver has been jailed and fined for killing a passenger and injuring six others when his car overturned as the result of a burst tyre in the Al Hibab area.

Blood money
M.J. lost control of the steering wheel and the vehicle veered off towards a sand dune before it overturned and landed upside down.
He was also charged with damaging private property.
The court sentenced him to two months in jail, fined him Dh5,000 and ordered him to pay Dh200,000 blood money to the Indonesian woman's family. His licence was seized for three months.
