Dubai: A Gulf diplomat's son is being questioned for the premeditated murder of a 20-year-old Emirati, Dubai Public Prosecution sources said on Wednesday.
The diplomat's son was stabbed by the suspect, who is facing premeditated murder charges, the sources told Gulf News.
The victim, who was stabbed while trespassing into the suspect's house, fled the scene to a relative's house; the relatives rushed the 20-year old to hospital, but he succumbed to the injuries before admission, said sources close to the investigation.
According to unconfirmed reports, the suspect stabbed the victim seven times after waking up and spotting the suspect heading towards his sister's room in the middle of the night.
Dubai Attorney General Essam Eisa Al Humaidan wasn't available for comment at the time of reporting this news.
