Chips cartons with altered dates seized
The date of expiry was stretched out for three more months.
Ras Al Khaimah: Civic authorities have seized tens of cartons of chips after the distributing company tampered with expiry dates on the packets.
The date of expiry was stretched out for three more months.
A senior municipal official said the municipal inspectors seized the chips with fake expiry dates from the stores of the distributing company. They scanned the markets and seized all the displayed cartons of this particular type of chips.
The inspectors took samples of the chips to the laboratory, which said the production and expiry labels were modified.
