Capital Police arrest Arab youth for stealing from car

CID Amen from the capital police caught an Arab youth for stealing some valuables from a private car during last week.

Abu Dhabi: CID Amen from the capital police caught an Arab youth for stealing some valuables from a private car during last week.

The youth inserted his hand through partially opened window pane of the car, unlocked the door to steal the wallet containing some documents and credit cards. He then used the credit card to buy number of mobile phones and lap top from different stores in Abu Dhabi.

He was arrested in one of the shopping centers within five hours of committing the crime. He confessed to the crime and police recovered all the items that had been purchased by using the stolen credit card. He was referred to the public prosecution

Brigadier Omeir Mohammed Al Meheiri, director of the capital police called upon the people not to leave any valuables inside the cars and also to make sure that it is fully secured and locked. He also urged the public to inform the police on 999 if they see any one in suspicious situation around the parking lots.
