Brother ready to sell all to fight for Kerry
Missing South African woman Kerry Winter's brother is determined to do all he can to bring his sister's aggressor to justice. That includes selling his properties back home to pay legal costs.

Dubai: Missing South African woman Kerry Winter's brother is determined to do all he can to bring his sister's aggressor to justice. That includes selling his properties back home to pay legal costs.
Kurt Winter's 35-year-old sister, a Dubai resident, was brutally beaten up and abandoned on a Dubai road by her British boyfriend nearly four weeks go.
The man, who has been detained, has admitted to leaving Kerry on the side of the road leading to Arabian Ranches.
"We're in a strange country and legal fees have to be considered. I'm going to look at selling my properties.
"We've been using our own money, but the funds are drying up. I need to get back to get the business going again," Winter, who owns a printing and design company, said.
"He [the detainee] will certainly get the best lawyers to get him off. I won't allow that to happen," he said.
So far, Kerry's family has only obtained legal advice, but Winter told Gulf News he is seeking legal representation to ensure the accused does not get off lightly.
Winter flew to Dubai from South Africa to look for his sister and has generated substantial support from volunteers here, donning T-shirts to create awareness.
"Over the next two days we will have to make a decision about opening a civil case. We're concentrating on the pros and cons of it first," Winter said.
Kerry has not been seen since August 20. Described by her friends and colleagues as vivacious and smart, Kerry disappeared hours before she was due to meet with friends.
Her British ex-boyfriend was seen beating her outside her home. He then pulled her into her own vehicle and drove out of town.
Several prayer services have been held in Dubai and South Africa over the last few weeks.
In Jebel Ali, last night, another prayer service was held in Arabic to help bring the family's plight to the Arabic-speaking communities. Winter previously observed that only the Eng-lish-speaking communities have been tapped.
"It's important we reach everyone and that everyone knows about Kerry," he said.
Winter will be returning to South Africa soon. His brother Clint will fly to Dubai in his place to continue with the search and proceedings. He said he did not know as yet when he plans to leave the UAE.
