Abu Dhabi Police add more facilities to its electronic service Sahl

Police have announced additions to its electronic service 'Sahl', which was launched in February, 2008, at Abu Dhabi Mall. Five new machines also have been put in to service.

Abu Dhabi: Police have announced additions to its electronic service 'Sahl', which was launched in February, 2008, at Abu Dhabi Mall. Five new machines also have been put in to service.

The machines are located at Al Wahda Mall and Zayed City Commercial Centre in Abu Dhabi City; Al Ain Mall and Al Gimi Mall in Al Ain City; Al Dhafra Cooperative Society in Tareef.

These machines assist in enquiries about police procedures, including drivers and vehicles licensing, police stations addresses and telephone numbers, complaints and suggestions service, payment of fines through credit cards and in cash, electronic maps service, duty pharmacies and weather forecast.

Colonel Esmail Al Serkal, Acting Director of Central Operations, said in accordance with the directives of Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, Abu Dhabi police is keen to disseminate its security and human services in compliance with its strategic vision.

The aim is to provide the society with the best services without having to waste their time by visiting the departments concerned for any of their transactions.

Rapid development and population increases have necessitated adoption of competitive methods of services.

Abu Dhabi police is first in employing modern technology for public service 'Sahl' that is part of the excellent public services provided by Abu Dhabi Police, he said.
