47-year-old loses drug appeal case
A 47-year-old man has lost his appeal against a drug conviction and was jailed for four years by the Fujairah Appeal Court.
Fujairah: A 47-year-old man has lost his appeal against a drug conviction and was jailed for four years by the Fujairah Appeal Court.
Emirati, R.S.S., was previously convicted by the Criminal Court of importing, possessing and consuming hashish.
He was arrested by Fujairah's anti-narcotics police unit after a surveillance operation was set up following reports that R.S.S., who has a criminal record, was associating with a suspected supplier.
After obtaining a search warrant from the Dibba Public Prosecution, police stopped R.S.S., and a roll of hashish was found in his possession.
