I live in the Al Nahda area of Sharjah, where construction of a high-rise building is going on in my neighbourhood.
I was shocked to see that one of the workers was not wearing any safety harness and had actually removed his safety helmet.
This type of lackadaisical attitude of the workers should be dealt with strictly by the site supervisors and the authorities.
Workers need to be educated on the importance of safe working practices for their own safety.
