Damaged lamppost a hazard
Gulf news reader requests that the authorities fix the post before it falls.
These photographs were taken in the Al Majaz area, in Sharjah. The lamppost’s base is severely damaged and the post could fall at any time. Even a heavy wind can push it down.
People park their cars next to the post, as is visible in the photograph. I have also seen children playing in this area and there is a construction site next to the post. If God forbid the post falls, it can cause severe loss.
I request the concerned authorities to please take immediate action to avoid any mishap.
