Madinat Zayed area in Abu Dhabi is always congested due to the many mechanics who disturb the traffic flow by asking and assisting in small repair works for motorists.

Earlier, this area used to be full of spare parts shops. But due to the Abu Dhabi authorities’ restrictions, the shops have now been moved to Mussafah. However, some shopkeepers are illegally selling car parts such as batteries, oil, windshield wipers and so on, in this location and also conducting vehicle repairs.

Due to this, many parking lots have been occupied by these people and we residents have to wait for a very long time to get parking. The constant oil spillage also makes the area very dirty.

I noticed that pick-up truck drivers also occupy the parking spaces and often wait in the driver’s seat itself, so that parking tickets are not necessary. Residents are facing parking issues due to this reason as well.

We need the authorities’ help to stop such occurences in the area and to help the residents in Madinat Zayed to live peacefully.
