Excavation turns using public transportation into a nightmare

I wish to report an issue Abu Dhabi residents have been facing.
A few years ago, the Department of Transportation (Dot) introduced bus services within the city and this service has truly been very useful.
However, for the last month we have noticed that there has been an increasing amount of construction at various bus stops.
Due to this, barricades have been put around the area that has ongoing road work.
Unfortunately, buses do not stop where there are barricades, which has become a nuisance to the community.
Most of the bus stops on Najda Street have been dug up and stops that have not been excavated are not authorised bus stops. Hence, buses do not stop at them until they have passengers that intend to get off the bus.
I have also seen people trying to halt buses at the authorised bus stops where road work is ongoing, by standing near the main road. This is a very dangerous practice and endangers commuters’ lives.
