I went to the Sharjah-Ajman corniche today to follow up my prior community report, which was published in Gulf News on January 6, 2011.
I have to say that there has been quite some improvement regarding the level of cleanliness at the corniche, but unfortunately some people are still acting irresponsibly. How beautiful would it be if that trash was not there?
I appreciate the authorities’ efforts to install new dustbins, but on the weekend and because of summer, I still find hundreds of people coming to the beach to spend their evening and while departing, being non-ecofriendly and leaving their garbage behind.
Residents have to be more sensible and responsible towards the place they live in. The UAE has made it onto the world map after so many innovations and developments. So, let’s make the UAE clean and show others how to do the same.
