Abu Dhabi Evangelical Church to inaugurate new worship centre
Church has been hosting thousands of Christians of 60 nationalities during past 37 years
Abu Dhabi: The Evangelical Church of Abu Dhabi will inaugurate its new worship centre with an Inauguration Service at 11 am on Sunday.
Reverend Carl Sherbeck who founded the Evangelical Church ministry in Abu Dhabi in 1972, will be the keynote speaker at the event.
For the past 37 years, the Church has been a spiritual home to thousands of Christians from more than 60 nationalities.
The Church hosts over 25 different congregations from different nations or using different languages for worship.
The current building project was initiated in 2006 and involved tearing down and rebuilding the building, one half at a time, while continuing to worship in the other half of the building.
Phase one was completed and occupied in February, 2008, followed by demolition of the remaining building and constructing the second wing.
The entire building is now complete, and the church community invites the public to join them for this official Inauguration Service, said Cameron Arensen, Senior Pastor
