Incorrect parking must attract severe penalties

Lack of parking spaces in Abu Dhabi often means residents take the matter into their own hands.

Many motorists create completely new rows in parking spaces on Muroor Road, according to Gulf News reader Shaji Kannan.

He said: "The reason why people park incorrectly is because they need to make sure they can reverse out of their spaces. It wouldn't be possible if they aligned their cars to the straight lines."

For the community reporter, the best solution would be to introduce new parking spaces and penalise those who create new rows.
