Saudi Arabia's army has set on fire the mountains surrounding Jebel Dukhan
Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s army has set on fire the mountains surrounding Jebel Dukhan where an ongoing fight between the army and Yemeni Al Houthi rebels has intensified over the past week, reported the local Arabic daily Al Madina.
The step was taken by the Saudi army as a tactic to stop the rebels’ attacks and allow the air force to hit their bases.
Eyewitnesses have confirmed the death and injury of rebels following heavy bombings by the Saudi air force, said the daily.
The Saudi navy has also been deployed closer to the battle area to prevent any infiltration by sea. Sources in the Saudi army told the daily that the authorities’ main goal now is to prevent any rebel infiltration into Saudi territory.
