Riyadh: After completing a two-day visit to the UAE, US President George W. Bush arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday.
Bush, on his first visit to Saudi Arabia as president, was greeted on arrival by King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz. The two leaders embraced before their national anthems were played and then reviewed the troops.
During a visit of less than 48 hours, Bush and Abdullah were to dine and then hold talks at the Riyadh palace which also serves as the king's personal residence.
On Tuesday, they are due to meet at Abdullah's Janadriyah ranch, near the capital, before the president visits Egypt on Wednesday to round off a week-long Middle East tour.
