Workers in Oman get three-day holiday
A three-day holiday celebrating the Prophet's (Peace Be Upon Him) move to Madina, which marks the advent of the Hijri year 1430, has been declared for the public sector in Oman.
Muscat: A three-day holiday celebrating the Prophet's (Peace Be Upon Him) move to Madina, which marks the advent of the Hijri year 1430, has been declared for the public sector in Oman.
The holiday coincides with the 29th Gulf Cooperation Council Summit to be held in Muscat on December 29-30. Sayyid Ali Bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court, ordered holidays for the government offices, which will remain closed from December 29 to 31, while private sector companies will be closed on January 1.
Government offices will resume work on January 3.
