Two Indians arrested for illegally trading in alcohol in Buraimi

Muscat: Two alleged Indian bootleggers were caught while unloading a huge quantity of liquor in Barhoze area of Buraimi in Dhahirah region, according to a press release from Royal Oman Police (ROP).
A team from ROP's Directorate-General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations were tipped off about two Indians dealing in alcohol trading. The two were caught red-handed, when they were unloading large quantity of liquor.
At the time of their arrests the two alleged bootleggers were in possession of 1,816 boxes containing 21,820 bottles of liquor, in addition to more bottles in the vehicle.
The contraband was seized and the suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution Department for a court trial.
