Two brothers die due to suffocation in abandoned vehicle

Muscat: A decision to make an abandoned vehicle their play house proved fatal for two young brothers in Birka on Friday.

The two entered the old vehicle near their house and closed the door. "They probably could not open the door afterwards and died due to suffocation," Hamoud Al Zaidi, spokesman for the Royal Oman Police (ROP Public Relations Department) said.

He said the deceased were taken to a health centre in the area, but were already dead. The health centre officials informed police about the incident.
