Muscat: Rumours that Oman will be affected by "bad weather conditions" have been dismissed by the Directorate-General for Meteorology and Air Navigation at the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The directorate on Sunday asked residents to depend only on the information provided by the Civil Aviation Affairs Department.
"We publish reports in the media with the latest weather forecast and that is the only authentic source," the statement said.
The directorate also said they keep the public informed through telephone calls, SMS or voice mail about changes in the weather.
