Muscat: Oman has deported 561 infiltrators in the past two weeks, according to a royal Oman Police Press Release yesterrday.

Meanwhile, the crackdown against illegal residents in Oman continues with the ROP, in cooperation with the armed forces and other security agencies, apprehending 285 infiltrators for entering the country illegally.
According to a ROP spokesman, these intruders were caught while trying to enter Oman illegally from different parts of the country, mostly along the long coastal area along the northern parts of the Sultanate.
The spokesman praised cooperation extended by the citizens as well as expatriate residents in their campaign against the infiltrators as well as those violating the country’s residency laws.
The police, he added, had evidence that these illegal residents indulge in criminal activities and also pose security risk.
