GCC ministerial council concludes meeting
The GCC ministerial council concluded this evening its preparatory meeting by endorsing the 29th GCC summit's agenda.
Muscat: The GCC ministerial council concluded this evening its preparatory meeting by endorsing the 29th GCC summit's agenda.
The agenda will be submitted to the GCC leaders for approval, ahead of their summit, starting on Tuesday.
Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister , who led the UAE delegation to the meeting, described the meeting as 'constructive', saying that a number of regional and international issues and developments were discussed.
He said the painful situation in Gaza was high on the meeting's agenda. "we discussed the steps that must be taken by at the Arab and international levels to deal with that situation," he added.
Shaikh Abdullah expressed the hope that "the voices of reason will prevail to press Israel and the international community to stop these brutal attacks."
