Muscat: Oman Police arrested 343 illegal residents of different nationalities last week and deported 53 back to their home country, according to a Royal Oman Police press release on Monday.

“Those deported were sent back after completing legal formalities, including coordinating with the concerned embassies in Oman,” a spokesman for the ROP said.

The police have urged all citizens as well as residents to report any illegal residents by calling 9999 or the nearest police station.

“Do not give shelter or employment to illegal residents,” the spokesman urged.
