A petrochemical facility in Kuwait's Mina Abdullah port has been hit with an explosion, official media said on Thursday.
Kuwait City: A petrochemical facility in Kuwait has been hit with an explosion, official media said on Thursday.
The explosion struck a facility at an industrial area in the Mina Abdullah port, state news agency Kuna said on Thursday.
A Kuwait oil official said the region's oil exports and industry will not be affected by the blast.
He added that the explosion did not occur near the Gulf country's second-largest oil refinery which produces nearby 270,000 barrels per day.
