Kuwait City: Seven Kuwaiti Shiites are to face trial for sending a statement to Lebanese and Iranian television stations eulogizing slain Hezbollah leader Imad Mughniyeh.
A lawyer representing the group said they had been charged with ''spreading false news about the situation in the country.''
The statement was broadcast by Hezbollah's Al Manar and Iran's Al Alam.
Imad Mughniyeh was assassinated in February in Syria. He has been blamed him for hijacking a Kuwait Airways flight in 1988 and killing two of its passengers
