Kuwaiti ruler accepts cabinet resignation
The Kuwaiti ruler has accepted the resignation of the government and would reappoint his nephew as prime minister.
Kuwait: The Kuwaiti ruler has accepted the resignation of the cabinet, the Al Rai Television reported on Monday.
The ruler's nephew, Shaikh Nasser Al Mohammad Al Sabah, will be reappointed as prime minister.
Parliament speaker Jassim Al Kharafi confirmed the report, saying that the emir had informed him of the decision.
The cabinet tendered its resignation last month over a request by parliamentarians to question the prime minister over the visit of an Iranian cleric despite a security ban.
