Manama: Air traffic at Kuwait International Airport was normal on Thursday morning despite dusty weather conditions.
Esam Al Zamel, head of operations at the Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) told Kuwait News Agency (Kuna) that the field of vision for aircraft was 500 metres and that air-traffic was smooth despite the weather.
Flights are allowed to operate within 250 meters visibility for incoming planes and 150 meters for departing ones, Al Zamel said.
Meteorologist Eisa Ramadan warned drivers to exercise the highest levels of caution as strong winds lashed Kuwait.
He said on his Twitter account that the weather conditions would start to improve on Friday.
