Two undergoing treatment for H1N1 in Bahrain

Manama/Dubai: Only two out of the eight patients undergoing treatment for the H1N1 virus are left at the isolation unit set up at the Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo Community Health Centre in Zinj, Bahrain.
The rest have been discharged after undergoing treatment. The two patients currently undergoing treatment for the virus are a 40-year-old Bahraini woman and her nine-year-old daughter. They were admitted to the centre last Tuesday.
Confirmed cases of swine flu across the region have soared close to 100 in the past week, according to World Health Organisation figures.
The UAE Ministry of Health announced a fifth case of swine flu on Saturday after an expatriate woman tested positive for the virus. Health authorities will launch a massive nationwide information campaign to raise public awareness on the flu on Sunday.
