Islamabad Pakistani security forces have claimed killing five suspected militants on Sunday in Mastung district of the country’s southwestern Balochistan province.
A spokesaman of the Frontier Corps told media in the provincial capital of Quetta that six militants were also injured during a search operation in the area.
According to the official the militants had been involved in attacks on security forces and recently torched five oil tankers.
The miscreants were said to be operatives of a banned outfit involved with some other militant groups from the ethnic Baloch coomunity in a low-scale separatist insurgency in the province.
Four suspected militants were reportedly killed in an operation by the security forces Saturday in Mangochar area of Kalat district of the province.
