Dubai: A new Indian-curiculumn school, Woodlem Park International School, will open in Ajman in April 2017, the start of the academic year for Indian schools.
Dubai-based Mamzar Group announced the launch of the school, developed at an estimated investment of Dh150 million in Jurf area, spanning over 350,000 square feet of land.
Managed by the UK-based organisation Woodlem Park Education, the Indian curriculum school “offers British standards of quality education catering to the growing need of the Indian community in and around the emirate of Ajman”.
Admission processes for KG to grade eight will commence from the first week of November.
The school will follow both India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Kerala school curriculum, and adhere to Ministry of Education regulations. The fee structure will be “mid premium competitive within the budget of the largest expatriate community in the UAE”.
The development was announced at a press conference in Dubai on Monday.
Dr Shaikh Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, chairman of the Ruler’s Court of Ajman, is the patron of the school. Also present was Shaikh Abdullah Bin Majid Al Nuaimi, chairman of the school; directors of Mamzar Group; and Sarah Ward-Hendry from Woodlem Park, UK.
Shaikh Abdullah said: “We are happy to announce the launch of the new school in the heart of Ajman, and hope this will contribute to the UAE’s consistent effort to bring in quality education. We hire exemplary faculty for heading the departments of the school and highly qualified, passionate teachers to train the students in academic and life-building skills. The school takes a non-compromise approach on selection of the teachers, building a solid and transparent system of identifying ‘only qualified teachers’ through scientific qualitative methods using international parameters.”
