Abu Dhabi: A new UAE Ambassador to Cyprus was sworn in yesterday (Wednesday) before His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at Al Mushrif Palace.

Shaikh Mohammad wished Abdul Wahab Nasser Al Najar success in his duties, and in carrying out his duties diligently in order to expand avenues of cooperation between the UAE and Cyprus for the mutual benefit of both countries and their peoples.

Al Najar swore his allegiance to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and to respect the UAE constitution and put the interests of the country before everything else.

Present at the ceremony were Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth, and Community Development, and other shaikhs and senior officials.
