Dubai: Dubai Municipality will open the first Natural Adventure Park in Dubai’s Mushrif area in December.

The park, which will be located in the Ghaf forest of Mushrif Park, will include training and challenging games, as well as climbing obstacles for adults and children.

Juma Al Fuqaei, Director of Asset Management Department at Dubai Municipality, said the amusement park is expected to attract 23,000 visitors in its first year, 35,000 in the second year and 69,000 visitors at the end of the fourth year. Meanwhile, the number of visitors are expected to reach 600 a day.

Visitors will be able to enjoy five levels of leisure activities and challenges, which meet the requirements of different age groups. “Activities will include sliding on the rope through the natural forest, climbing the horizontal and vertical walls, as well as the vehicle on rope challenges,” said Mohammad Abdul Rahman Al Awadhi, Director of Parks and Horticulture Department.

Corporate leadership programmes and team-building events, as well as field trips and educational programmes for schools from around the country will also be provided.

Daily school trips will be organised, along with special programmes that comply with Dubai Strategic Plan 2015 for students of special needs schools.

Private school students, residents, and tourists can also attend the learning and training sessions and take part in recreational activities that are beneficial to their health.

“We believe that dealing with nature is a basic human need, especially for young people who need persuasion to stop the use of electronic gadgets. For people who are looking for something to help them escape from their daily routine, it is the best way to do so,” he added.

Al Awadhi pointed out that the new destination aims to encourage all residents in the country to reconnect with nature and enjoy what lies in its treasures.
