Sharjah: Asians topped the list of road deaths in the first half of the year in Sharjah.
The total number of deaths due to road accidents was 79, of which 47 were Asians (Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis), 8 Arabs, and 1 a GCC national.
The remaining numbers belonged to other nationalities.
Statistics released by Sharjah Police showed the total number of accidents that took place in the emirate during the first half of this year stood at 556.
This figure does not include accidents in which there were no injuries registered.
