Dubai: The fifth Fantail Pigeon Competition in the UAE will be held at Qanat Al Qasba, Sharjah, on February 9.
The event brings together some of the best breed of pigeons from across the country to one destination.
Majed Al Suwaidi, events coordinator at Qanat Al Qasba Development Authority, said: "This unique event is being held for the first time at Qanat Al Qasba and is expected to attract a large crowd of pigeon fans. With referees being invited from the US and Bahrain, the event will be on a professional level. At Qanat Al Qasba we nurture and encourage such kind of unique hobbies, and we hope that this event will be organised annually at the same venue."
