Dubai: The Dubai Civil Court has ordered the Dubai Public Prosecution to give a copy of the report on Emirati businessman Abed Al Boom investment portfolio to his lawyers Salim Al Sha'ali and Co Advocates and Legal Consultants.

The report was filed by a government-assigned committee. The Public Prosecution is representing Dubai Police and Departments of Economic Development and Finan]cial Control.

Al Boom is the owner of Abed Al Boom Management and Development Properties.

Al Sha'ali earlier lodged a civil lawsuit against the three government bodies, which he said caused his client losses of Dh1.1 billion, the amount which is being claimed in compensation.

Al Boom is under investigation for allegedly swindling more than 3,500 depositors of an estimated Dh847 million.

Al Sha'ali claimed the committee breached his client's trust and illegally kept 14 property title deeds in its possession.
