Dubai: A court will start questioning a state minister and his three supposed associates in a case of breach of trust, which a Lebanese businesswoman lodged before Dubai's Public Prosecution in June.
Charges
Dubai's Attorney General Esam Eisa Al Humaidan yesterday said that the Public Prosecution referred the minister, who remained unnamed, and his supposed associates to Dubai Court of First Instance where they will be prosecuted, facing charges of breach of trust, embezzlement, swindling and aiding and abetting a crime.
"The woman allegedly accused the minister of breaching the trust of her family's business, including a huge property and a company based in Dubai," he said.
Complaint
"A team of senior prosecutors looked into the claimant's complaint and based on the produced evidence and our findings based on the witnesses' statements, we referred the four suspects to court," said Al Humaidan in a media statement yesterday.
